I finally am back in the routine- and it feels so great! The early am runs are not practical right now, so I have mixed up the routine. It has been almost 5 years since I ran anything besides the early am, save two races I did. It has been a lot of fun, and with a baby it has been necessary. We have had a few cold runs, and today's run was amazing. It was in the 50's and sunny. I came home after 6 miles with a great runner's high that has just kept me energized all day! I am excited to have found a sitter and am going to be able to get in 4 runs before I leave for Pittsburgh this week. I am so excited- I have been building my mileage slowly and feel great so far. A great run really makes me feel like I could conquer the world, and all of the amazing running partners I have had since we moved here have made every run fun! Last week my friend Erica and I ran 4 miles in the fresh snow. It was beautiful. The schools were closed and the roads were empty. The route was beautiful, really made me appreciate the day in a way I would not have otherwise after shoveling for hours! Amazing that I have had a memorable snowy run and a warm sunny day run less than 6 days apart! Got to love the VA weather!
As for races- now I am feeling like I can get back into gear. The big news is that I am doing the Goofy Challenge again with my friend Lee- it will be so amazing to do those races again- with company. So excited! I am feeling good about the half marathons I am signed up for this spring. I doubt I'll be breaking any personal records, but I will be enjoying every minute of it! Now I need to buy a new bike for IronGirl- I can't wait for that challenge!

I wish I was you. LOL. If you ever need a sitter for a run, just let me know...I'm just a few houses away. :)
BTW...I was going to use this blog background too. Love it. You have to change your template to minima to get the full effect. Oh, and delete the second half of the code to get rid of the CBOTB logo. :)
I am with you on the runner's high...it keeps me going hours on end! I am so excited for the Goofy '10...can't wait to run it with you!!!
Such fantastic news! Tell us more about your training for the Iron Girl. Will it be your first tri?
And Go Steelers! (My family is from Washington, PA. So I totally get it!)
It sounds like you have some really great goals/races ahead of you! Watch out, Spring! Here comes Jenn!!!
