The Cherry Blossom 10 Miler is this weekend. I am so excited for this race after how rotten the experience was last year. Okay- the run was awful, but being down there with my good friends made the day alright. It was one of those days where you roll out of bed (I was 18 or 19 weeks pregnant- so I may have literally rolled) and know it was not a day you were meant to run. BUT, my friends were coming to get me, so I went. The day was dreary and wet, and with Alyce and I being pregnant we both needed some of those potties to be unlocked. My time for this race was a few minutes less than I had run the National Half in the weekend before, and only a few minutes less than I ran the Charlottesville Half Marathon in a few weeks after. Just not my day! It is a nice course with the cherry blossoms and being down on the Mall and running around the Tidal Basin. I am not a fan of how the course loops back on itself so many times- I prefer an out and back race, but for the scenery I won't complain!
After the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler I have the Charlottesville Half (a favorite race of mine!), The Brain Tumor 5k in DC, the Pacers Running Festival Half Marathon (Will, Julia and I are a team for the Mommy and Wee Me Challenge) and then Iron Girl. I may throw a few 10 milers or Half Marathons in there- I am head over heels in love with the half marathon distance!!!
If anyone has a fun half they think I'd like let me know- there are a lot of small half marathons out there that are not well publicized!
Had a wonderful 6 mile run today- it was such a beautiful day.

I heart the half marathon distance as well...so wish you could do VA beach rock and roll half with me...
